Congratulations to our Students on Winning Science Awards!
We are proud to announce that our students have achieved outstanding results in the following Science competitions this year:
Singapore Primary Science Olympiad (SPSO)
This annual national competition is organized by the NUS High School of Mathematics and Science. It aims to promote active interest in Science among primary school students and nurture young Science talents. This year, the competition comprised a theory paper taken at the participants' respective primary schools. Our students Muthurasu Thanushraj, Lien Heidi Zhao Hui, and Teo Kai Xiang have all been awarded Merit Awards for their participation in the SPSO!
Raffles Science Olympiad (RSO)
Muthurasu Thanushraj has also won a Merit Award in the Raffles Science Olympiad (RSO). This competition provides a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of Science. It consists of two rounds: an online individual round with a multiple-choice test in various science subjects, followed by an in-person round for the top performers.
Innovation Programme (IvP)
Joanne Lee Jia Rong, Vo Catherine Tu, and Phua Ser Yen have been recognised for their achievements in the Innovation Programme, each receiving a Merit Award. This program challenges Primary 5 students to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems in three categories: Daily Journey, Better with Less, and Home Fix. Students explore data, frame problems, generate and evaluate ideas, create prototypes, and test their solutions.

The Science Department at Blangah Rise Primary School is committed to nurturing our students' love for science and helping them excel in science competitions. Our teachers provide students with various resources and support them in their preparation.
