The Aesthetics department aims to develop each student to be able to:
- perform the arts with the knowledge and skills learnt
- create arts, with knowledge and skills acquired
- respond to the arts
We aim to provide all students with quality arts education to enable them to find an area of interest where they can develop self-esteem and build confidence. We aim to create a vibrant arts environment to educate our students to acquire knowledge, skills and values during their formative years to enable them to develop and grow to their full potential.
Talent Development Approach
Our Talent Development Approach seeks to instill the joy of learning as students discover their interests and strengths through the 3Es:
Experience
- Providing diverse experience where all students discover the joy of learning. This is done through school-based lessons and learning journeys when there is general exposure and equal opportunities given.
Enrich
- Enriching those with interest and talents to develop interest and building confidence. This is done through enriched curriculum, afterschool enrichment programme, fringe activities like Recess Art, CCAs, school-based activities, performances & competitions.
Excel
- Providing opportunities to excel for students to uncover strengths, nurture special talents. This is done through targeted training sessions and competing or performing at Inter-school or national level
