Red Cross
World Red Cross Day, observed on 8 May, commemorates the founding of the Red Cross Movement and honours the legacy of our founder, Henri Dunant. It is a meaningful occasion to recognise the countless dedicated volunteers worldwide who provide humanitarian aid and bring relief to those who are sick and suffering.
At the heart of every member's commitment is the Red Cross Promise: "We, the members of Singapore Red Cross Society, promise to serve our country and join with others all over the world to help the sick and suffering." This pledge is more than a declaration — it is a reminder of each member's responsibility to serve with compassion, integrity, and unity.
As a uniformed group, Red Cross at BRPS nurtures students to strive for excellence while upholding the core value of humanity. Our Links are trained to be adaptable, resilient, and confident team players. Through a range of purposeful activities — including Red Cross knowledge, basic first aid, foot drills, and outdoor programmes — members develop discipline, leadership, and a deep sense of responsibility towards their community.
Through Red Cross, our students grow into individuals who are not only prepared to respond in times of need, but who are also moved to serve with heart.
