In early February, our Primary 3 students embarked on an enriching learning journey to the Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery, where they delved into the vibrant cultural heritage of Singapore’s Malay community. Through hands-on exhibits and engaging activities, they discovered traditional customs, craftsmanship, cuisine, and attire, deepening their appreciation for cultural diversity.

Zac from 3 Topaz shared, "I enjoyed exploring the gallery and learning about life in a kampong in the past!"

Meanwhile, Jaywinna from 3 Opal expressed her delight at the delicious food and the stunning traditional outfits on display.

Continuing our exploration of Singapore’s rich history, our Primary 4 students visited the Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery on 17 February. This immersive experience introduced them to the vibrant cultural legacy of Chinatown’s Chinese community through photographs, narratives, and artifacts.

Huai En from 4 Topaz was excited to try the different musical instruments and learn more about utensils used in the olden days.

Olivia from 4 Sapphire was glad that she had the opportunity to try out calligraphy with a brush.

Through these museum-based learning journeys, our students gained insights into the traditions and way of life of the past, further strengthening their appreciation for Singapore’s diverse heritage.
